Recently-admitted students beginning the dual enrollment program and current dual-enrolled students who wish to continue in the program from one semester to the next will follow the steps below to be registered for classes.

Prior to Registration

To ensure you are prepared and ready to register for classes, please check the steps listed below:

      • Copy of your Georgia-issued ID or driver's license OR Certified copy of your birth certificate
check mark   Have you provided your immunization form? (Required of ALL students, even if taking courses at the high school or online)
      • Form completed by health care specialist OR copy of GRITS records

check mark   Have you completed the GaFutures Dual Enrollment Funding Application with your parent and high school counselor?
check mark   Have you met with your high school counselor to verify the courses you are approved to take?

Dual Enrollment Approved Courses

Course Registration

Once student has been accepted and ALL of the above steps have been completed, the student will need to contact the Dual Enrollment coordinator for registration at (478) 289-2129 or jfieldsFREEOMNIUPDATE.   

All Dual Enrollment students will have an Advisor
 Hold on their account to ensure that the student meets with the Dual Enrollment coordinator each concurrent semester for proper registration. Students are NOT permitted to self-register to ensure correct courses are being taken.

IMPORTANT: If any changes are made to the course schedule after courses have been approved, the high school counselor must ensure schedule is updated at EGSC. Students are not permitted to withdraw from a currently enrolled course without prior approval from their high school counselor verifying if the course will affect their high school graduation requirements.

GaFutures Dual Enrollment Funding Application

Dual enrollment students are required to complete the GaFutures Dual Enrollment Funding Application to ensure that they receive the Dual Enrollment Funding to cover their tuition and non-course-related fees.

Students should complete the GaFutures application before registering for classes. Failure to complete the application could result in students having to pay for their cost of enrollment or removal from courses. Students attending a private or public Georgia high schools and students attending a home study program can complete the Home Study application.


Students participating in the dual enrollment program are provided textbook rentals for approved courses at no cost. Textbook rentals are not provided for optional texts or for courses outside of the approved course list. Textbooks will not be provided for repeated courses. Textbook rentals must be returned to the library at the end of each semester in good condition to avoid fees. Students are allowed to write in lab manuals.

If you are unsure if the program will cover the cost of the required course material please contact Meghan%20Crews in the library prior to purchasing. Course materials must be purchased from the bookstore in order for refunds to be issued.

Be on the lookout for an email from the DE coordinator for specifics on textbook rental and pickup timelines. Students may pick up textbooks and/or online access codes from the EGSC Library in Swainsboro. Please note that students must bring their Bobcat ID card to pick up their textbooks.
